§0 Age Restriction

Minors are not permitted to access this site! By registering, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age or older. We reserve the right to ban any identified minors from the forum at any time.

§1 Email Confirmation

To actively participate in the community, you must confirm your email address via a link. This confirmation link will be sent to your email address. It is becoming increasingly common for members to register with their work email addresses or addresses that contain their name. For your own protection, we advise you not to use such addresses. Additionally, we have a security feature that is enabled by default, which requires you to unlock your "device" with a code. This code is also sent by email (the feature can be disabled in the settings).

§2 Prohibited Email Addresses

Please do not use so-called disposable/trash email addresses that delete themselves after a period of time. Members who register with such an address will not be activated or will be banned! Some such email domains will already be rejected during registration.

§3 Will Your Account Be Deleted or Banned?

If your account is deleted (or you cancel it yourself) or banned, GrowMetric reserves the right to keep your content under the same nickname in the system, as otherwise the context of individual posts would be lost. It is therefore not strictly necessary for us to delete everything associated with you, but everything will be anonymized to the extent that it can no longer be traced back to you (except for the nickname).

§4 Commercialism?

For the protection of the platform, the safety of our members, and in accordance with the personal values of most members and the team, we do not tolerate any commercial activity. Everyone is welcome to participate in the community. However, we strongly ask you, in your own interest, not to report or mention any commercial grows here! Violations will be handled at the team's discretion and may result in account suspension. The same applies to offering cannabis products or seeds — in such cases, an account ban will be unavoidable.

Furthermore, every grow report must comply with the legal regulations of your country of origin. If it is determined that you are violating these regulations, we reserve the right to delete your report or even ban your account!

§5 Trading, Selling & Offering

Trading & selling is prohibited — this applies to all products, including seeds and similar items. If we notice any such transactions, it will result in a permanent ban from the community.

§6 Cooperation

We want only helpful people in our community. Please be helpful! Especially towards newcomers and beginners. However, we do not want our members to advertise elsewhere — this harms our reputation and serves no purpose.

§7 Netiquette

Please observe general rules of conduct. Friendliness and helpfulness in the community are very important, and all forms of insults must be avoided! Racist and other morally or legally unacceptable statements are also prohibited! Our team will issue a few warnings for such violations, after which an automatic ban will follow.

§8 Meaningful Titles

Please choose a descriptive title for every post so that everyone can see what it is about.

§9 Give Back

Did someone help you? Then try to find questions where you can help others in return.

§10 Reports

You can report content as well as members to the team (using the internal function). Any moderator can then access these reports and handle the issue. The moderator must respond to your report and take appropriate action — this happens in the background and you will not notice it directly, though it is possible that a team member may contact you. Unnecessary reports may result in warnings.

§11 About Me

Advertising and links to commercial websites are prohibited in the "About Me" section (official sponsors and partners excepted). Text must not be animated or moving. Banners and images are prohibited.

§12 Spamming

All forms of advertising are prohibited. An exception are links to grow shops, head shops & smart shops, as well as breeder websites, and anything relevant to the topic that does not personally benefit the poster. Exceptions such as promotional campaigns from partners and sponsors must be coordinated with the administrator.

§13 YouTube Video Feature

This feature is to be used exclusively for videos in your grow reports and for important tutorials. All other videos must be posted as text links! YouTube videos may only be embedded using the corresponding code.

§14 Encouraged!

Everyone is warmly invited to link to us in their email or other signature, on their homepage, blog, or social network page. We also appreciate every link directory or web catalogue entry you can win for us. But please check first whether we are already listed and do not use mass submission tools. Furthermore, GrowMetric may be used as your homepage or as a recommendation in blog and group comments on the internet. You are also welcome to invite your friends and acquaintances.

§15 NOT Encouraged!

Please do not conduct spam attacks or violate the rules of other websites. This brings us a bad reputation. Also please refrain from pointless search engine submissions, as we are already listed in most of them and multiple submissions can lead to deletion.

§16 Advertising for Your Site or Other Backlinks!

Except in agreed promotional campaigns with our partners, we do not tolerate advertising threads. If you wish to place commercial advertising on GrowMetric, e.g. on the partners and sponsors page or as banner ads on any of our pages, please contact us via "Contact".

§17 Legal

We reserve the right to ban or delete any member at our own discretion. If you have been banned and do not agree with this, we ask you to contact us via "Contact".

§18 Moderators

Moderators have the right, among other things, to ban you and your content and to issue warnings. Please accept the team's decisions. Pointless complaining only annoys the team.

§19 Rule Changes

The forum rules may be changed at any time. You will of course be informed through various channels.

§20 COPYRIGHT

The websites of GrowMetric, their structure, and all functionalities, information, data, texts, images, audio materials, and all components used for the functionality of these websites are protected by the legally enforceable copyright of GrowMetric. Users may only use the content within the framework of the offered functionalities of the websites for their personal use and do not acquire any rights to the content, texts, images, data, or programs. All our systems may only be integrated on other platforms with the consent of the administrator. Third-party components are not affected by this; please contact the license holder/author for those.

§21 Links & Content

Each user bears sole responsibility for the links they post. Links to pages with pornographic, far-right, or illegal content are prohibited. Each member takes full responsibility for their content and actions; we accept no liability but will act strictly!!

§22 Contests & Giveaways

Any attempt at fraud will result in a permanent exclusion from all contests and a corresponding warning will be issued. The prize will be sent by the respective sponsor, which may take up to 30 days. We have no influence over the odds of winning — this is handled by our system or other predefined processes. We also have no influence over the shipping of prizes; please contact the contest sponsor directly for this.

§23 Server Outages and Force Majeure

It can always happen that the server is unreachable for some reason (e.g. overload). Please do not worry — we will take care of the problem and notify you when everything is accessible again. For security reasons, we perform automatic daily backups, during which the server may also be temporarily unreachable or display error messages. Manual/automatic backups are also regularly carried out by the administrator; during this time the site will be placed in "maintenance mode".

§24 Private Data

We do not store any data on our server (e.g. IP address). You are welcome to post photos and your real name — but you do so at your own risk. What is not permitted: uploading personal data or photos of other people, unless it involves publicly accessible content such as well-known memes. Violations will result in a warning — a second offence will result in your account being banned. You can find more information in our Privacy Policy.

§25 Collection of Visitor Data

In order to continuously improve our service, some visitor data is collected for statistical purposes. IP addresses are anonymized by our server as usual and are not stored. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further information.

§26 Advertising and Sponsors

We would like to point out that we have no connection to the advertising displayed on the website and that the individual sponsors are responsible for its content. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further information.

§27 Firewall

Our system has an intelligent firewall that penalizes suspicious activity. Please be careful if you are planning any mischief.

§28 Amazon Links (Affiliate System)

We reserve the right to have all unshortened Amazon links automatically modified by our system by appending our partner ID. Should the automatic system not function correctly, we also reserve the right to make manual adjustments to the links. All modified links will be marked with "(Affiliate Link)". This does not disadvantage you in any way — on the contrary, you support our community through these links, as we may receive a commission for every successful purchase made via such a link.
